Invicta Men’s 6622 II Collection Skeleton Mechanical Stainless Steel Watch

Buyer Beware.
Gee, I would give this watch a 4 or 5 stars because I like a well made mechanical watch, but I think you should know it doesn’t look like an automatic watch to me? Where is the weight? Rather it looks like a wind-up mechanical skeleton watch from the back, Someone please correct me if I am wrong?
So — you can take it from there if you are interested in a mechanical windup.

When this was the lightning deal this watch was described as automatic, but it was, in fact mechanical. I would’ve been OK with that if it weren’t for the huge face. Apparently that is indicative of this brand. It just wasn’t for me, so I still give it 3 stars because I thought the piece was extraordinary, and well crafted. If you’ve got the wrist and a desire to wind your watch, then this is a great timepiece.
Another drawback to ordering these sort of watches online is the inevitable need for the removal of links for sizing, unless you are a linebacker or Mr. Universe. I returned this and got another brand with an adjustable leather band. If you’re not a fan of leather, I believe Casio makes a stunning set of adjustable digital watches in their Velcro® Collection

I bought this on a lightning deal two days ago and just received it in the mail. It’s a beautiful watch, but it looks to be fully manual even though it says it is automatic! On the back it says specifically “MANUAL SKELETON”. I wound it up to see how long it will go, but I expect I’ll be returning this to Amazon in the next couple days. I’m really disappointed since it was a great looking Skeleton watch.

EDIT: Amazon has corrected the watch’s specifications and now correctly lists this as a manual hand wound watch. Still giving it 2 starts for the buying experience, and disappointment from incorrect no.
First things first – this is a nice watch, but it’s not an $800+ watch. I don’t care if that’s Amazon’s made up standard retail price or Invicta’s, but it’s nowhere near worth that, so please take this into consideration when thinking this is an incredible deal.
The watch has some beautiful gear-work displayed for the price point, but as others have said, it is not automatic. No kinetic action here.
The watch definitely needs to be wound up so please, whatever you do, don’t tack on one of those fancy watch winder display stands to your purchase.
The ticking of the gear-work does seem extra loud as far as watches go. Most watches I have must be placed near my ear in order to hear them tick. This one , I can hear from 5ft away in a quiet room.
Once again, it’s a nice watch, but it’s not automatic and it is not a part of Invicta’s current product line.
If you take the time to visit their site, you will notice that there is no 6622 model currently in the catalog nor retail pricing guides.
Buyer beware.

This is a beautiful watch, but is not for the wee lads. The face is huge (wide and thick). The face’s thickness and size is the main detraction from this watch’s appearance/quality. This piece was originally described as an automatic, but it is definitely a mechanical wind (which isn’t terrible, just not what I thought I was buying, per Amazon’s old description). There is a good view of the gears on the face and back of the watch… very beautiful. The band is very nice, loved the contrast in color and texture, looks dressy and casual at the same time. Links can easily be adjusted by a jeweler to get the right fit. A big man (200 lbs +) who likes some flash and does not mind the manual wind will really enjoy this watch. I think it would be too heavy and look overstated on an average sized man. A minor side note: the watch came in a bright yellow, frilly looking box… felt weird to be giving it to my boyfriend.
