Saw this watch at a high end jeweler Bailey Banks & Biddle that was closing at a local mall. It was marked all the way down to 60% (plus 9.5% sales tax). I was ready to jump on it only to realize I did not have my wallet with me. So I asked a salesperson to hold it for me while I rushed home to get my wallet. That actually saved me hundreds of $$$!
When I got home I searched online to see what kinds of deals were out there. And I found the best price on Amazon, my most trusted online merchant, which means I didn’t have to worry about shady or questionable ‘bait-n-switch’ merchants. I called the store to tell them I’ve changed my mind and promptly placed the order with Amazon. Even got free ’2nd Day’ shipping.!!!
Now the watch. This is my second TAG Heuer and it has the same solid quality build that you can feel just by holding it in your hand. The stainless steel band is flawless and shiny. The yellow dial gives it a sporty yet luxurious look. The crown and buttons are easy to work with. My only somewhat negative takes are 1) The digital read out is a bit difficult to see – but pressing the crown provides a backlight that eases it; and 2) The case is a little too ‘thick’ for my liking.
I already ordered the interchangeable rubber strap that will give it the complete sporty feel. Overall, this will be one of my favorite watches in my collection.
